Marcos since making his first Chelsea start against Hull has proven to be well suited to Antonio Conte's 3-4-3 system which has seen the blues win four league games in a row,conceding none in the process during October.The wing back after yesterday's game against Southampton has given his thoughts on the notable improvement.

‘We are defending well.We needed help
from the team to remain on top and they did that by running and pressing high.

‘It was a tough game. Southampton started very well,pressing high, and we had a little difficulty but in the end we played a great game and we are very happy with the performance of the team.’

Alonso is in his debut season with the blues but has already began to enjoy the fun of having very productive attackers as his teammates.

‘Both goals were amazing and with the players we have we are always going to create chances and score goals, and they showed the quality they have,’ Alonso remarked.

'Starting from the goalkeeper to the striker we are doing a great job defensively and this is how we have to continue'.

The blues are back in league action on Saturday with Everton visiting  Stamford Bridge.
