Team News

Antonio Conte named an unchanged XI from last weekend's victory over Leicester with returnees Oscar and Willian who missed the last game among the substitutes.

Mourinho however made only one change to his team that kept a clean sheet in their last league game against Liveroool,Lingard replaced Ashley Young with the youngster scoring the reds only goal on their last visit to Stamford bridge.

1st Half

There was only 30 seconds on the clock when Pedro latched on to an Alonso loose ball to round De Gea and slot into an empty net.It was the fastest goal of the new Premier league season and arrived just before both managers were on their sits.

Chelsea looked to build on from the opener proving effective on all areas of the pitch before the second goal arrived from a set piece.United's defence failed to deal with Eden Hazard corner allowing Cahill to smash home from close range to double Chelsea's lead.

Courtois however was equal to Ander Herrera's curling shot from outside the area and also made another superb save when Lingard tried to net on the rebound.
The blues could have added more before the break as Baily and De Gea thwarted Costa and Pedro's effort just before the halftime whistle.

2nd Half

After the restart,Chelsea were the first to go close with Costa netting a goal that was correctly ruled out for offside.Eden Hazard went close in the fifty sixth minute but was denied by a vital block from Smalling.
There was no stopping the next time the Belgian came knocking. He collected Matic pass inside the area and got the better of United's backline and fired home into the far right for his fourth league goal of the season.

It got more merrier for the blues as N'golo Kante got in on the act with a messi-like goal. The French man got the better of his more expensive compatriot Pogba to score his first Chelsea goal.

Courtois produced a stunning save to deny Ibrahimovic and another save from a Rojo rocket to record his fourth clean sheet of the season and his third on the bounce.

Four goals and a clean sheet was the best possible way to welcome Mou back to the pitch in the opposition dugout.

The win moves Chelsea back into the top four and sends us five points ahead of United.
