Hard Work Pays Off For The Blues
The blues returned to winnings ways against Hull City and provided a blueprint of just how much of hard work has been done on the Cobham pitches.Conte had trained his team to line up in a 3-4-3 setting for the first time since he took over and while the blues took some time to grow into the game,it seemed the Italian has found the right formula to guide the blues all the way up.There was more assured defensive performances with high energy levels flowing as the team transitioned from defence to attack throughout the game.
After the game,Conte gave his thoughts on the team's performance
‘I’m pleased with the whole game because in England no game is easy. Today I knew it would be very tough because we faced a team with a great spirit. I’m pleased with the performance, we played with the right intensity and with good pressure. We played a good game and kept a clean sheet for the second time'
'A clean sheet is important for the confidence. We are working very hard and we must continue in this way' concluded Conte.
While the foot will be taken slightly off the gears during the international break, the blues now have a foundation on which to mount a title challenge when league action returns.
