3 Talking Points Ahead Of Chelsea Vs Man Utd

The biggest game of the Premier League weekend is taking place at Stamford Bridge with the blues playing hosts to Mou's Manchester United.

While a wide range of spectators from various parts of the globe gladly look forward to this one,our columnist serves up three points to whet the appetite of every fan in the buildup to Sunday's fixture.

Jose's Return : The serial winner was dismissed by mutual consent last year after the squad suffered a severe dip in form, lurking on two places above the relegation zone in December having won the title the season before.

Chelsea players esp Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas and Eden Hazard are with a point to prove to the former manager after they were accused by club fans for conspiring to relieve the Portuguese of his duties.

Jose however will need a win to prove to the board that they made the wrong choice by dismissing him.

True, Mou knows our squad inside out but like Pat Nevin puts it,'He may not really find a solution to counteract the way Conte uses them'.

Jose's return coincides with a time our squad members are perfecting Conte's tactics and will need a superb performance from his team to avoid being haunted on his old stomping ground.

2.Who Was The Better Deal (Kante Or Pogba)

The French duo joined Sunday's opponents Leicester City and Juventus respectively last summer for different fortunes.

Leicester scooped £32m for the powerhouse who was instrumental to their title triumph the season before.United however forked up €105m for Pogba who also helped Juventus claim a fourth successive Scudetto.

Conte was conservative for the transfer of the Premier League's best midfielder last season while Mou went on a spree to resign Pogba from Juventus having left Manchester as a young prospect.

The duo have been featuring consistently for both teams in the middle of the park.

3.Conte Vs Mourinho

Both managers will be crossing paths for only the second time in their managerial careers.Their previous and only meeting ended in a 1:1 draw with Mou in charge of Inter and Conte at Atlanta in the Seria A.

Conte lost his job few weeks later and has since gone on to win three straight titles for Juventus before a spell with the Italian national side.Mourinho has however won league titles in England,Italy,Spain and Portugal.

Conte has proven to be a flexible tactician unlike Mou who has a traditional 4-5-1 system.Conte has already implemented a 4-1-4-1,4-2-4 and the recent 3-4-3 at Chelsea.

Mou will be applauded by the home fans at the final whistle on Saturday as he remains a popular figure amongst the supporters but Conte will receive the highest credit if his tactics delivers all three points against Manchester United on Sunday.
