The shot stopper who was speaking ahead of Saturday's clash against reigning Champions Leicester City at Stamford Bridge asserted that while a clean sheet matters a lot to the team,he would prefer the team winning a game than to finish with a scoreless draw.


‘It’s good to not concede because then you know you only have to score one goal to win the game, which is good, but I would always rather get a victory than draw 0-0 and keep a clean sheet for myself'.

‘Obviously it’s always nice to keep clean sheets but it’s not the most important thing,’

‘It ( a clean sheet) does give you confidence, though, and hopefully I can keep another one against Leicester to help us win the game.

Thibaut has kept three consecutive clean sheets against Hull then Gibraltar and Bosnia and Herzegovina while on international duty.
