Stunning second half goals from Willian and Diego Costa got us back to winning ways against Hull City with a clean sheet in the bag.
Antonio Conte rang changes to the team and also tweaked his formation from the 4-5-1 and 3-5-2 that was used against Arsenal to a 3-4-3 Setting.Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso were handed their first league starts while Hazard,Willian and Diego Costa made up a three man attack.
First Half
The hosts seemed to settle quicker than the blues and were denied an early goal from a free kick when Courtois pushed Snodgrass's effort over.
Chelsea dominated possession from then on but were limited by an organized Hull defence to no clear cut chances.Willian shot wide of goal with Victor Moses who was causing the hosts defence all sorts of problems with his nice footwork having a penalty appeal waved away.
Courtois made another fine save from another distant effort from Snodgrass to keep scores level at the break.
Second Half
Conte's charges were clearly on top after the restart as the blues rallied for a breakthrough.Eden Hazard saw a swerving shot pushed behind by Marshall while Livermore nearly scored at the wrong end only to rescued by the post.
The sustained period of Chelsea pressure provided the breakthrough.Diego Costa found Willian with a slid pass which the Brazilian attacker went past some challenges to fire us into the lead.It was 2:0 six minutes later as Diego Costa latched onto a rebound from his shot to net his sixth goal in seven league appearances.
The blues cooly saw off the game to record a well deserved victory with a clean sheet for Thibaut heading into the October international break.
