Ola Aina Reveals What Conte Said At Halftime Against Rapid Vienna
Our academy graduate who played the second 45 minutes of our game against Rapid Wien which we ended on the loosing side revealed what Conte told the team at halftime.
"At halftime, the manager just said to me and the team that we should press higher and that everything should be press, press, press. It did seem to work as I thought we were edging to get a goal in the second half.It was unfortunate it didn't go our way.
Conte was observed on the sideline giving a thumbs up to the youngster who put in a commanding display at left-back linking up well with Victor Moses and coming close to getting the equalizer with the team trailing by a lone goal. However his trial from distance hit the woodwork.
'Its was definitely a shot.I just tried my luck and it was unfortunate to hit the post'.
Confirming how Conte's presence affected his game he said,
"I heard him a lot.It was really good .U would much rather have a manager telling me 'Ola here,Ola there' than not hearing anything at all and being kept in the dark.
Performances such as the one he put in against the Austrian club could earn him a place in the blues first team and maybe a starting berth.
