Ruben Loftus-Cheek who made his first team breakthrough last season was scorer of our second goal last night and has reiterated his desire to improve under the new manager ahead of the new season.
'I'm definitely enjoying it (working under Conte). He's a strong character with a lot of passion and I think he's the right man for the job.We respect him so much and trust his work so I think it's going to be a good season'.


'We've been working really hard in training and trying to get used to the formation the boss wants us to play,and we did well so am truly happy'.
Ruben played in an unfamiliar attacking role behind fellow substitute and new signing Michy Batshuayi.He however thrived in the role and capped off his fine performance with a close range header.
'I don't get many with my head so it was nice to score one,luckily for me I was close to the corner to the goal when it came in (the corner)'
'The boss said he thinks it will suit me to play there and am not going to argue with that.It's a new challenge ,it's different for me but I am working at it and I felt I did it better than I did in Saturday's game '.
The youngster has been on a quick rise personally since last season and could be in for another stellar one.
