The latest addition to the Chelsea squad will play at centre-back according to the Italian boss who believes he will excel for the blues.
The Brazilian played a holding midfield role at Benfica and featured there at times for Chelsea during his first stint.Conte however has no intention to utilize him in the deep lying role which has Kante thrived in since arriving this summer.
'I think David Luiz is a centerback' said Conte.
'He's played a lot of games in that position.I know sometimes he's played as a central midfielder but in my mind,the idea is to utilize him in the right position which,for me,is centre-back'.
'He has played with Chelsea before and he will bring a good personality'.
David Luiz arrival could lure Conte to revert to his preferred 3-5-2 formation although he has recorded four wins on a bounce with a 4-1-4-1 setup.
