The Brazilian defensive rock who departed Chelsea during the summer of 2014/15 season has rejoined the blues having successfully completed his medical on deadline day.

David Luiz was a part of the Chelsea team which claimed European triumph in 2012 against Bayern Munich and will provide reinforcement to a Chelsea back line the has also been boosted by the arrival of Spanish left-back Marcos Alonso from Florentina on the same day.
