It was double pleasure for the Chelsea family on Friday morning when the October awards were announced with Conte and Hazard grabbing the best manager and best player awards for the period under consideration.

Chelsea won all four games played in October and conceded no goals.Conte reverted his team to a 3-4-3 shape after consecutive losses to Liverpool and Arsenal.The change has heralded a move into the top two secured with maximum points from the last five games.

Other nominees for the award were Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp,Stoke's Mark Hughes and Arsenal's Arsene Wenger.

On receiving the award presented by Barclays Conte said,

‘This is the first time I’ve won the award, it’s a great honour and I want to share it with my players and the club.

Diego Costa Wins Chelsea Goal Of The Month

‘For me it’s a great pleasure, a great hour after three months to receive the award, its fantastic,’ said the Chelsea boss.

Eden Hazard received the best player of the month award hosted by EA Sports,the first time a Chelsea player has won it since Diego Costa in 2014.The award was presented to Eden by school children representing St Polycarp’s School in Surrey.

‘It means a lot.We played a very good
month. I scored a lot of goals and all the team played well. We scored a lot of goals and we didn’t concede a goal.
'I’m the best player this month but the most
important thing is at the end to win the league and to do that we have a lot of things to do from now until then.’

Chelsea will hope to continue their impressive form having started the new month with a bang by blowing Everton away 5:0 last time out.

Middlesbrough host the blues on Sunday.
