A thrilling encounter at the Bridge ended in a draw after Drinkwater's shot from outside the penalty box cancelled out a  Fabregas penalty following a foul on Matic by Schlupp.
In the final game of a second spell for Guus Hiddink's second stint at Chelsea, a midfield pair of Matic and Fabregas were selected with Mikel Obi playing no part. Courtois returned to the line up while Traore started up front ahead of Pato. The new kit was on display.
For the visiting champions Drinkwater made a return from suspension with Mahrez and Vardy all starting. Chelsea formed a guard of honour for the visitors  who celebrated there title against Everton.
Chelsea were the first to get a sight at goal after Pedro shot inches wide in the sixth minute.Vardy shot wide when played through by King and minutes later lifted the ball to high with Courtois rushing off his line. Pedro had another sight at goal after he managed to beat Schmeichel but his pas to Traore was a little late as Traore shot against a body of Foxes defenders. An ovation was observed by the Blue fans in the twenty sixth minute to show there joy for John Terry who was offered a new contract on Friday. Traore missed a couple of chances before Schmeichel pulled off a string of saves, first from Fabregas shot then a cross that was heading for the top corner before Pedro tucked in Willians cross from an offside position. Mahrez broke into the Chelsea box with nice dribbling before Azplicueta denied his effort.
Okazaki was brought on in the second half in place of King in a dull second half that both sides relaxed to avoid conceding the opener. Guus Hiddink brought on Abraham for Traore and Loftus Cheek for Pedro. Morgan tackled greatly to deny Abraham while Okazaki flicked close to Courtois. Tomori was brought on for his debut at the expense of Ivanovic as he capped off a fine week in which he won the academy best player.
The breakthrough however came when Hazard took a decisive run into the box and passed to Abraham whose shot was blocked and with Matic set to pounce on the rebound,Schlupp tripped the Serbian. Fabregas kept a cool head to convert from twelve yards.
Albrighton was brought on in place of Mahrez as the Foxes searched for the equaliser. The equalizer however came when Drinkwater picked out the bottom corner from 28 yards beating Courtois at full stretch with a rasping drive.
Abraham shot just wide after good footwork in stoppage time.
The final whistle marked an end to a campaign to season to forget for the blues and ends Guus Hiddink's second season at the Bridge.
