The Belgian forward who put the game out of City's reach with his eighth goal of the season yesterday has hailed the team's resurgence after last season's slump,revealing the blues showed great character to come from behind to win for the second game running.

'It was a good game for us, we did well.To come here and be losing 1-0 at half-time it’s not easy to win the game but we did well'.

‘We showed great character last week against Tottenham and again against City. The whole team gave everything and that was the key.’

‘It’s not every year you win eight in a
row, we played well.

He also reserved special praise for strike partner Diego Costa who led the comeback win.

‘Before he was scoring a lot but sometimes
getting yellow cards or red cards, now he’s
not, that’s the big change,’ said the winger.

‘He gives everything on the pitch, he scored a goal and got one assist, he’s been on fire
since the start of the season.’
